Not far from this junction was Park Farm owned from 1794 until 1841 by the Lord of the Manor the Wyrley-Birch Family. From the 1840.s until the 1920's it was owned by the Gough-Calthorpe Family.
West Bromwich born James Birch was tennant famer around 1850 before his son John Birch took over until his death in 1900. Charles Foden took over the tennancy along with his sons until1921.

Park Farm - Rocky Lane
A couple of hundred yards along Rocky Lane from its junction with the A34 - Walsall road is Lymedene Road. It was not far from here that Park Farm was situated.
