At the highest point halfway along Rocky Lane we would have found what was known locally the "Old Manor House" There is no evidence that this ever was a manorial home or that there ever existed a manor house in time past. The sign post shows directions towards West Bromwich the right. and pointing to the left directions of 3 miles to Birmingham and also pointing towards Perry Barr Village.
